I need to edit the footnote/endnote.

I am writing my CV and I have a huge number of appendices I need to put in the main text.

I have tried to do this in pages and the best option is to use a endnote but i need to change the superscript in order to appear "doc 1" "doc 2" "doc 3" "doc 4" ... instead of "1" "2" "3" "4" only.

Is this possible?

Is there any other option besides endnote?

thanks

No one that wants to get hired is putting footnotes/endnotes in their résumé. If you are doing that, you are writing a report, not a professional CV, which is expected to be in a concise, standardized format (principally for very fussy, applicant tracking software). I suggest you omit the footnotes/endnotes, and do research about what constitutes professional cover letter and résumé writing for your target employment segment.

You are correct but I have not explained myself correctly.

I am writing not a CV, but instead a report of my activities during the last 5 years of study. Because of this I need to present a report plus an appendix book with all the information and documents proving what I have done, present, which congress I have been and so on...

Basically I need to be able to, while writing the main report, adding information like for example:

- I have present this paper in London. (doc 1)

- I went to that congress . (doc 2)

- I have done this fellowship (doc XX)

I want to be able to reference in an automatic fashion, so that in case I decided to remove an appendixe/document, I do not need to change and count everything manually.

How can I do this? Can you help me?

Thanks.

Are you using Pages '09 v4.3, or a release of Pages v5?

In Pages v5.6.1, if you have numeric footnotes within your document body text, removing, or inserting a numeric footnote will automatically resequence the remaining numeric footnotes. Pages v5.6.1 does not support (doc 1), (doc 2), (doc xx) as footnote superscripts — only those provided in the Formats selection within the Footenotes tab.

Also, Pages v5.6.1 does not support attaching other Pages documents to the existing document, they will have to be copied/pasted into the appropriate sections.
