late 2014 Mac Mini and HDMI port.

I have a 23 inch VGA monitor. I have it connected to my late 2014 Mac Mini via one of it's Thunderbolt port. I need to free up that port for other uses. What would I need to use the HDMI port instead?? Thanks.

get a new monitor with hdmi, seriously monitors are not that expensive and less hassel

vga is an analog connection std, vga does not support HDCP encryption, hdmi is a digital connection std. hdmi is big on HDCP encryption


also if the display ports are not in use for monitors then it dasychain so a monitor with tb could have a tb connector a external storage device could connect to and it be transparent for the external storage device and computer (somewhat) that the monitor was in between
