iDVD doesn't show chapter-selection

iDVD doesn't show chapter-selection

Hi,

usually, when I hit "create chapter markers" -> "every x minutes", later when I preview the DVD I click the clip title and I am forwarded to the next page which will present two buttons "play full movie" and "scene selection". When you click on "scene selection" I get the buttons for the chapters.

Now recently I just get nothing, but that I click on "create chapter markers" and after having done so, the option is greyed out, which gives me the hint, that the markers have been created. But I can't navigate through the markers via buttons. I can only jump through the chapters by clicking the "forward" on the remote controle next to DVD-player application.

The more I work with iDVD I get the impression that - though creating beautiful stuff - it is very buggy.

Anyone know a solution to the problem?

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), PowerMac G4 AGP or Gigabit Ethernet

What system and iDVD version are you running?

10.9 and iDVD 7.1.2 - it has worked before on the same system. - I had the idea earlier hat day that I should try it on one of my PowerPCs maybe under 10.5 with 7.1.2, but haven't done so yet.

Go into the Map mode, select the movie and try the Advanced ➙ Create Chapters Markers for Movie menu from there. If there are already chapters created it won't be active.

That's not the problem.

(I don't know if that temporary link works. I uploaded it at wetransfer, which is available for several days and then gets deleted. I could have uploaded it to my cloud, but I can't let my cloud trash with nummerous forum posts. It is a bit unhelpful for later viewers of this forum, that one can't upload the screenshots to apples own server like it is in other forums).

The strange thing is though, that I had never changed that preference, so I was wondering why after having it create selection buttons earlier and now only create markers.
