tell application "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" to activate Doesn't Work

The code:

tell application "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" to activate

does not launch Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. When I access the dictionary, and, click on Browse, the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC entry is gray and unavailable for selection.

What is the correct filename.

Thank you.

Hello, Pierre.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Your suggestion works. I'm not certain why my code doesn't work, seeing how the following code does work:

tell application "TextEdit" to activate

tell application "Preview" to activate

tell application "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" to activate

tell application "Microsoft Word" to activate

tell application "Microsoft Excel" to activate

tell application "AlphaX" to activate

except for line three.

Thank you.

You know, as much as a complex OS can water our eyes, it can also befuddle. The old days of simple mainframe command line computing (Burroughs, VAX/VMS) didn't seem to present these kinds of head scratching "No Way!" responses.

After one week of living with this problem, it just ceased appearing. The subject line of code works just fine, now.

Modern OS voodoo makes me chuckle. But, we wouldn't want to go back to the "good old days".
