Baseline shortcut key on note gone?

I've been googling for shortcut keys to use superscript and subscripts on my notes, and everyone's saying it's cmd + ctrl + the + or - key, but it doesn't work. When i went to the edit/font part and manually checked the baseline options, there is no longer any shortcut keys assigned to it. Is there any way about this? It's a real hassle to manually highlight things to change to superscripts when taking notes in class.

Go to : System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts :

Click the + box

From the Drop down box, toggle : Application, you should get a list of all the applications installed on your computer,

find & select Notes.app

In Menu Title : type the name of the shortcut you want to add, making sure you type it exactly as it appears in the

menu bar drop down for the application you wish to add the shortcut to.

In Keyboard Shortcut, type the keyboard combination you want to use, this may need some trouble shooting as the

combination you want to use may be reserved for another function.

(Option-Command-M does work for this shortcut)

Click Add :

If successful you should now see this :

User uploaded file

& from the Notes.app Menu bar > Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript, with you new keyboard shortcut.
