I use two Macs on two different sites.
The first one is on a ADSL connexion, and the second one on a 3G connexion, with a limited Data forfait.
The recent iMovie update is 2 Go.
I don't want to update on the 3G connexion.
How wan I download iMovie installer on my first Mac to install it on the second one. Both are on the same Apple ID
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
Download it once on the DSL connection and copy it to a thumbdrive to transfer to the 3G connected Mac.

On Mac App Store, I olny have an "Open" Button.
I tried to remove iMovie and download it again on the ADSL connexion, but the installation is done immediately , and I do not get an installer
There is no installer, there is a self-contained, sandboxed app that you can drag & drop from your Mac to the thumbdrive and then from the thumbdrive to the other Mac..

Hi Dahveed, by sandboxed app do you mean that the app in the applications folder is complete and can be copied from here to another Mac?
If I use App store update for Keynote, Motion, Compressor, Final Cut Pro, Numbers etc to my Mac Pro, then copy over network to iMac all will be good.
