Access Time Machine Files

I used Time Machine to back up files from a mac in 2013 to a Seagate Drive. Two weeks ago I used the same drive to back up my new MacBook Pro. Now all the files from my 2013 back say I don't have permission to access them. How can I regain access to my old files?
