How do I find my iphone if the headphones are plugged in?

If my phone is lost and I cant find it, I can send a sound through icloud to my phone. But my headphones are plugged into my lost phone. Will it still work?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2

Just tested this on my iPhone and even with headphones plugged in, the audible alert still sounds.
