text scrambles when i highlight and start typing

When I Highlight a text that i searched in say the google search bar and proceed to start typing, th first letter the I type will endup showing up after all the other letters. For example i will highlight a word and try to type in the word "concrete". But it will just come up as "oncretec" and then the "c" will keep coming after all the words i type. I need help

From the menu bar, please select

Edit ▹ Substitutions

and uncheck all the options. Test. If the problem is resolved, you can experiment with re-enabling some of the options to further isolate the cause. You can change text replacements in the Text tab of the Keyboard preference pane.
