microsoft silverlight problems

I'm having a problem watching Netflix. Netflix asked me to update Silver light. I've clicked the update button on Netflix but the update it is providing I've already downloaded last year.

I've also noticed this message in my Safari preferences under security then Internet plug-ins. This is what it says:

The version of "Silverlight" on your computer has known critical security issues.

Only websites set to "Allow Always" are allowed to run this plug-in. To protect your system, use of this plug-in is ow blocked for all other websites.

When visiting other websites : ALLOW

I would like to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight and get a properly working one. How do I do this?

I've notice over the last few months I'm not able to watch embedded videos on Facebook. I am assuming this is because of problems with Microsoft Silverlight???

Thanks!!

Use this.http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/uninstall-mac.aspx And.https://support.philo.com/hc/en-us/articles/201231156-How-do-I-uninstall-and-rei nstall-Microsoft-Silverlight-on-a-Mac- You cannot have any browsers open while doing this. If it will not let you, then you will have to go to utilities folder activity monitor and find the silverlight app and kill the process. If you reinstall silverlight, get it from microsoft.

Thank you so much Ginger!!!!!!!! AWESOME!! Got it all fixed and up and running right.

I do, however, have another question for you. While fixing the Silverlight I noticed something else that I don't understand what it is. I had never really messed with "Finder" so have no clue what all is in it. But I did find something while manually uninstalling the Silverlight. This is what I found:

In the library in Internet plug-ins I saw something that says "Pepper Flash Player" In that folder was "manifest.json (plain text) and PepperFlashPlayer.plug-in. The dates on them are Jan 11th 2016 and Jan 20th 2016. I didn't download this. How did it get there and should I remove it? Thanks!!
