Does photo stream save the photos that I've taken using my iPhone camera, or does it save the photo sent to me by friends through apps like what'sapp and viber? Does anyone know?

Q: How does phot stream work??
It uploads photos that you have saved to your camera role. If the photo was never in your camera roll and only on other apps, it will not be uploaded.
