I have a strange issue with FaceTime. When I select my wife's contact from the Contacts app on my MacBookPro, then click FaceTime. It calls my iPhone. However, if I open the FaceTime app and search for her contact, it calls her phone. I've rebooted both devices. My MBP is running 11.11.3 and my iPhone 6s is running 9.2. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Are you sharing your Apple ID?

Did you also check your wife's contacts and is not linked somehow?
Yes on my MBP is where I checked the setting.
Her contact is not linked in any way at all.
It's strange because if I go directly to the FaceTime app on my MBP.
Search for her contact, it calls her iPhone as it should.
It's only when I click the FaceTime hyper link from the Contacts app, it call my iPhone.
Hmm...
Try delete her contact from the Contacts app and test calling her using the hyperlink.
If I delete her contact then I can't click the FaceTime hyperlink

I suspect the info in the link has your phone number instead of your wife's.
OK so I deleted the record, closed the Contacts app, opened it and readied her record, clicked FaceTime and it still called my iPhone

Yes, I've mentioned that it calls my iPhone.
We both have iPhones, 6s.
After deleting her contact, it no longer works now.
Before deleting her, opening FaceTime app works.
Now it does not. 😟
Try calling her manually (type her phone number)
Then use the info from the call log and create a new contact in Contacts.
