Facebook videos

Over the last few months I've been having problems viewing certain videos on Facebook. I have Adobe Flash, Java, Quick Time and Silver Light on my Mac. All are up to date. Could my problem be with the Flip4Mac that is on my computer? It is a free version I had from 2011 when I got my computer but it is no longer free and I refuse to pay for it. Do I need Flip4Mac? Can I remove it? And if so can I just drag and drop it to the trash? I noticed in Safari preferences (plug-ins) says Flip4Mac has a security issue. Thus the reason I'd like to dump it if I don't need it. Thanks!!
