The "other" is taking up 3 GB of storage, just yesterday I had 4.7 GB free, now I only have 2.66 left. I don't know how the "other" part increased. What's in the "other" part & how can I delete it

Do I click "restore iPod" or "restore backup"? & is there a way I can prevent this from happening again
First try a restore from backup but a restore to factory settings/new iPod may be required.
The only way to prevent is not to add media to the device.
What's the "other" section of storage?
