Q: Can my iPad AUTOMATICALLY connect to my iPhone Hotspot

Can my iPad AUTOMATICALLY connect to my iPhone Personal Hotspot, when it is not using WiFi?

In the same way that it automatically connects to my WiFi when in range without having to go to Settings/Wifi/Personal Hotspot?

Instant hotspot in Continuity tells you how to set up the hotspot and how to connect your iPad to it. Unfortunately it doesn't say if the iPad will connect automatically the second time you turn in the hotspot.
