why does my Ipod touch 6G battery run out so fast

My ipod touch 6G battery runs out really fast. If I take it off fully charged and use it for 5 minutes half of the battery runs out.

iPod touch, iOS 9.2.1

You should might try this, Lower brightness, use wifi if need, use Bluetooth if need, Don't run apps when your not using it. Shut down your device when you don't use it 20 minutes or longer. Your battery only has about 1000Mah is small, can only last a short time...

After charging for at least 6 hour how long can yu play a vide before getting the 20% warning? About 4 hours seems to be the norm.

If less you can try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
