iPhone 6S. No access to App Store.

i Purchased a new iphone 6s prior to a trip to the Philippines. I also took my iPad.

OS 9.2.1 on iPhone and iPad.

BOth have have the same settings in . . . . Settings.

i wanted to download the Waze GPS app onto my iphone 6s. When I go to the App Store, the only page that isn't blank (or doesn't load) is the update page. Featured, top charts, explore, and purchased are all blank. Connecting the iPhone to the local cell system or connecting with Wi-Fi has no effect?

is this related to my iPhone not having my songs unless I have Wi-Fi turned on on the iPhone?

NOte: I do not use iCloud on anything.

WHat hat do I need to do, besides going back to the United States, to get access to the App Store On my iPhone 6s?

also, can someone fix this editor? Do you see the extra 'hat' after the word What? That popped in when I hit the space key.

Hello there, AuCountry.

It seems that while on your trip to the Philippines you were unable to access the App Store on your iPhone. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some good recommendations to look over:

If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can't connect to the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

  1. Make sure that your date, time, and time zone are correct. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Time Zone might list another city in your time zone.
  2. Make sure that your iOS software is up to date. Tap Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates. You can also connect your iOS device to iTunes and click Check for Update
    on your device's Summary page.
  3. Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're using cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > Cellular. If you're connected to cellular data, larger items might not download. You might need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
  4. Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. Check your device's user guide for help with Internet connection.
  5. Check to see if other devices, such as portable computers, are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
  6. Reset your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.

If there's still an issue, learn what to do if your device won't connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Once you've verified those steps, then review the initial steps in this article:

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

Restart the app

Close the app and open it again.

Restart your device

Turn your device off and back on.
