Projecting iPad Pro with lighting to VGA adapter (iOS 9.2.1)

Dear all,

I have been trying to project in my classroom using iPad Pro (iOS 9.2.1) to write down notes directly on it. I bought the lighting to VGA adapter and to my disappointment it did not project anything. I called the IT assistance of my university and they used their own lighting to VGA adapter and it did not work either. Therefore it is probably not a failure on the adapter.

Anyone knows about this issue or how to solve it?
