iphone registered to a no more existing account

I had an apple account, and years ago, I changed my e-Mail address and I changed my apple account to the new mail address. For years everything went well, until today I created an iCloud access under my actual account. But the it popped up, that my Iphone is still registered under the old account name. But I cannot remove the old account name from my phone, because apple tells me, this account does not exist.

The Apple support told me, how to reset my phone. It seemed to work. But now the problem is, that I cannot restore my apps, because iTunes says, my phone is registered under the old account name, and I should enter the old name an login, but if I do so, I get the answer, that the account does not exist.

I have no idea, what I can do. Who knows?
