Airport Utility does not recognize Time Capsule

I recently purchased a 2TB Airport TimeCapsule. The ethernet cord from the router is plugged into the WAN slot and the power is on to the Time Capsule device. I can access the internet via a WiFi device labeled Apple Network 686555 but Airport Utility cannot locate the TimeCapsule that is 10 feet away. It sees the device Apple Network 686555 but will not join to the Airport Time Capsule. The error is highly descriptive: "An unexpected error occurred. Try again." Very telling. Not sure what to do. iMac running OSX 10.10 and Airport 6.3.4

Thoughts???

The "unexpected error" is caused by a bug in Yosemite.

Try power off the Time Capsule by pulling the power cord from the back of the device or unplugging the power cord from the wall AC jack

Restart the Mac

After the Mac has been up for a minute or two, power up the Time Capsule and let it run a minute

Then,, try the setup again
