Display colors are slightly brown tinted.

Okay so I just bought a mid 2012 MacBook Pro non retina to replace my 2011 because I found a decent deal and can sell my old machine for what I paid for the new one. The new unit has a brown tint to the display. This can be minimized by calibrating the display but it is still apparent. Did I get a bum lcd? When doing an expert calibration I ended up with the same settings independently of each other on both machines... I'm at a loss.

edit: if it helps diagnose the problem, when the system with the odd display boots you can actually see it go from normal to brown as it is loading (Apple logo)

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), null
