Can't Pair Two Bluetooth speakers to my iMac

I have two bluetooth speakers and I got to the bluetooth menu and both show as connected; but, only one will play at a time. I can not figure out how to get them both to play at the same time. Each works fine by itself; but, when one is playing music, the other will not even though it is shown as connected.
