I Try an open Safari, i get some dumb pop up box that blocks my open tabs and tells me to click OK on a link for a free Iphone6. Totally bogus but i cant use Sarari. now using Chrome to post this issue. How do i fix this issue? I can not get to Safari settings in the browser as this pop up block the other tabs. thanks
iPad, iOS 7.0.4, IPad Air 128GB Wi-Fi and Verizon
Double tap the home button and force close safari.
Tap on the home button to exit the mode
then go into settings, safari and delete your history
For good measure you can force your iPad to restart by holding down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it restart then try safari again.
I just got this pop up too. Rebooted my iPad but still the pop up was there. So I clicked OK, & immediately X'd out of the page it took me to. By clicking OK do you think it infected my iPad or stole any of my personal info?

By the way, I did go into Settings & deleted my browser history, but only AFTER I'd clicked OK on that pop up. I wish I'd thought to get on my smartphone & research this problem, but too late now 😟

If all you did was click on the page to get rid of the message you're OK. It's when you reply and give personal info you're in trouble.
