Help my screen will not unlock.

Hello I have a Ipad 2 with the latest ios installed. My problem is that I cannot unlock my ipad. I still see the time and get notifications but I cannot interact with it unless I use the home button. My power button is broken so I cannot restart it and use the auto shut off. I tried to restor it through my computer but it says I need my ipad to respond. I was on my bed watching something and put it down for a few seconds and when I picked it up it just became unresponsive.

Is there any other ways to fix this or should I just replace it? It has already gone through warranty and its about 3 years old
