I have an Apple ID that is identical to my regular one without the @hotmail.com at the end. It keeps popping up asking for the password when I sign into iTunes etc but I dont know the password. I tried to recover the password but the recovery email address I haven't had for years and I keep getting the security questions' answers wrong. Whats going on?

You need to maintain your accounts better. Update e-mail addresses and make sure you know the answers to your security questions.

So, is this request for the password to the Apple ID you don't remember the password for coming up when an app purchased under that Apple ID is attempting to be updated?
What are the exact circumstances that are occurring when this request for that password comes up?
