I can't install OS X Snow Leopard from CD

I have MacBook Pro CD Installer, and I tried to install on my MacBook Pro. After choosing the partition, it takes very long to install. Sometimes, I've got an error message. So, what I'm gonna do if I'm going to install Snow Leopard?

Probably the wrong MacBook Pro was the one associated with that CD.

Identify first the vintage of MacBook Pro you have here:

Then you'll be able to know which installer disc is compatible with it here:
