refund policy for quicktime pro for windows ?

purchased this software because I need to make a dvd with home videos and pictures combined. This software is not easy to use and I;m an IT PM. Maybe i'm missing something , but why isn't there a story line or time line when trying to combine all them? Am I missing something? also where do you even create the movie, it seems like you are starting all over. please let me know if you anyone has any tips for me to create a movie etc.. or if there is a way I can get a refund. thanks
