iphone 5c unresponsive

my 5c has been turning itself off recently, and usually I hold the home+lock button and it restarts, however this hasn't been working today, I connected to iTunes (making sure I had the latest version etc.) which put my phone in recovery mode and said I needed to restore my phone, but it keeps failing to restore, it extracts and preapares, then says waiting for iPhone and fails. nothing is happening on my phone its just blank. is my phone beyond saving?? I really don't know what else I can do 😟

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2

It looks like your iPhone wont turn on and you've tried restoring it from recovery mode with iTunes. In this situation, the advice in If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch says to contact Apple Support for help:
