how do i copy tracks from my laptop onto a cd in the super drive?

I am having a party to celebrate the Queens 90th Birthday and would like to do a compilation of "Patriotic Songs" from some cd's I have on my Laptop onto another cd in the Super Drive. Is there an easy way?. It's only for my own personal use, not for Re-sale purposes.

The easiest way which does not involve any other software, is to use iTunes.

  1. In iTunes Preferences, set 'Import Settings' to AIFF.
  2. Insert each CD and import the relevant tracks into your iTunes Music list.
  3. Give the tracks a name with a number at the beginning (use leading zeroes, e.g. 01, 02) to reflect the order you want.
  4. Click 'Playlists' in the top bar.
  5. Create a playlist and drag these tracks into it.
  6. Control-click the playlist and choose 'Burn playlist to Disc'
  7. Choose 'Audio CD' for your Disk Format.

If you have Roxio's 'Toast' you can make an audio CD by simply choosing that format and dragging the imported tracks into it. (Just drag the tracks from the original CD to the Desktop).
