I am getting suggestions from my bank to download trustee support. Any idea?best

Trustee Rapport is a Security software suit from IBM.

http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products/en/trusteer-rapport

You don't need to install it if you don't wish to have it installed.

Safari may not work well with this software installed.

There have been many reports of Trustee slowing down Macs and causing problems in general. It is not recommended in these columns. Tell your bank that you are using a Mac and that the software can have side effects.

Not sure if the browser you are using may also contribute. Do you have Firefox (usually the best one).

Thanks guys,

I only use safari and google for my browsers. It is just a suggestion from the bank. my Mac is already full to the brim with software and almost full ssd drive, so I am not keen to add any unnnecessary burden to it. So I will just forgo it.

Thank you for the star, Guuleh.

If you hadn't suggested how full your machine was I would have gone on to recommend you download Firefox as a good alternative browser. Google can eat up memory.

Why not review your machine to see if you have programs, extensions etc that are little used ... and remove them. Its easy to download extensions in inspiration but never actually use them ... and they all take space.
