Initial login password for macbook

Hi,

I have just purchased a Macbook Air and by default it requires a login password. Currently during set-up I used my Apple account password but I would prefer to change this just for the login so I can log in quickly. If I change the login password in security and privacy preferences will it then change my apple account password?
