Q: Apple Fibre Card - M8940G/D vs LSI7202P, what's the difference?
I'm wondering what the real difference between these two apple cards are, besides the fact that:
M8940G/D is a PCI card
and
LSI7202P is a PCI-X card
Main reason I ask is since the latter seems to retail for a considerable amount more on ebay, and I'm curious as to why. As far as what the card is to be used in: a single 2.0 xserve g5.. Is there any real benefit to using the LSI over the M89?

The benefit is the performance of the PCI-X architecture over the PCI. The PCI has half the theoretical bandwidth of the PCI-X.
Otherwise they are both LSI Logic Host Adapters.
