One method is to sync them via iCloud:

On the phone, turn on Settings > iCloud > Contacts

That will upload the contacts to the Contacts app at https://www.icloud.com

On the Mac, turn on Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Contacts

That will sync the contacts to the Mac Contacts app. If those settings are left on any future changes on either device will by synced.
