MainStage keeps "Copying Audio files" during save

Hi,

MainStage keeps doing "Copying Audio files" during save. It copies audio files temporarily into the concert file and deletes them. I'm not sure why it started doing it. I tried doing a "Save As" and setting the options in different ways for the project to avoid this but those concerts did the same thing: each time I click save it starts copying files and I can have a coffee break. 😟

Any ideas how to get rid of this behaviour?

I've seen a similar topic concerning "Save As" - this one is about "Save":

When I perform a "Save As" I get a bunch of check boxes of digital assets to include or exclude in the save. See the checkboxes in the grey area at the bottom of the screenshot below. Leaving the "Copy EXS instruments into concert" box unchecked prevents MainStage from copying the audio files (at least for me.)

Thanks Brian.

I already tried creating a copy with all the options unchecked, but had the same issue with those.

Maybe something just got corrupted in the project setting and the problem propagates to the copies as well. :-/

Yup, I've had this too, seems to be totally a thing

Just a thought, I've not upgraded to El Captain yet, have you?

So hopefully I'm not crazy after all 🙂

My new MacBook came with El Capitan but I had WiFi issues I just could not sort out. Apple support could not help either.

So I downgraded to Yosemite (disk wipe and OS install) and all is fine now - fingers crossed.

Erny! Just updated to El Capitan and doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.

Ha! I gave El Capitan another try, and it solved the problem for me too 🙂 No more coffee breaks after a Save.

PS: I think something might have gone wrong when I was migrating from my old machine (Yosemite) to the new one with El Capitan on it. After a clean install of Yosemite, migrating my files from the old machine and then upgrading to El Capitan I don't have the WiFi issues either. All seems fine. 🙂

Hm. I'm not sure upgrading an operating system in the middle of programming a big project is any less time-consuming or scary than the copying-files-and-deleting bug. But thanks, folks, for reassuring me I didn't do something wrong...
