Can you connect your phone to iTunes and at the bottom of the summary page is a colored bar with details of what is taking up space. Can you post a picture of that?
Why can't you connect it to iTunes?
bbecause I don't have a laptop or computer?
Open your Photos app. Click "Albums" in the lower right. Click "Recently Deleted". Then click "Select" in the upper right. Then choose "Delete All" in the lower left.
doing that is using my storage everytime I delete something then delete it from recently deleted my storage goes down when it should be going up everytime I delete anything it's using storage
Well, you may see unpredictable behavior when you allow your iPhone to become full.
Reset the iPhone to see if that helps. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. If that does not help, you will need access to iTunes on a computer.
i still had 14gb left before I started deleting things is that classed as full? I have tried that restarting it as well not helped do you think connecting to I tunes will sort it? thank you

Really? Your screen shot in your second post shows 1.7GB free. Are you sure you had 14GB and not 1.4GB?
You need an absolute minimum of 10% of your device's total storage free. In your case, 10% = 6.4GB.
that screen shot was after I deleted 500 videos of my phone lol I had 14gb left then I deleted all those videos deleted them from recently deleted and then I was left with the 1. something now I'm down to 500mb it doesn't make sense
Yes, try connecting to (a current version of) iTunes. The current version is 12.3.2.

The iPhone is intended and sold as a peripheral device to be used with a computer. Specifically for situations like this. In fact, in the past the only way you could make backups of your data or update your operating system is to use iTunes on a computer. iCloud didn't exist to make data backups and you couldn't update your operating system over the air.
Apple didn't intend for people to have an iPhone but no computer, but more and more people are moving that direction. Hence things like iCloud. But it's still a good idea to either have a computer or a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, etcetera who has one you could borrow temporarily.
Best of luck.
I Would never use a laptop so wouldn't buy one just for this would be a waste they should probably tell you that when you buy an iPhone that you should have a laptop computer lol thanks

A computer isn't required for day-to-day use. However, in some instances, such as troubleshooting or system recovery, it may be needed. If you end up needed to use a computer to use iTunes to get your device up and running, but you don't have one, then you seek out other options.
i have same problem😟 the more i delete the more storage is used
