Q: Validation code

I had to reset my 2 generation Apple TV and not when I put in my user ID and password it is askino from a validation code. Well the code is sent to my iPad and phone but no where on my Apple TV does it let me enter the code. Is my device totally useless now. Where can I enter my validation codes on the TV unit, or how did it from the iPad.

You should get a page like this (less the phone image of course), if you don't see it try restarting and trying again.
