How can I tell if my Mac Book has been hacked into?

My mouse is acting independently. I was watching a show on netflix and finished and thought I exited out of the window, about 10 minutes later it was restarted from the first episode. Numerous times today the webpages would zoom in and out independently. And shuffle from page to page. I was watching a video and twice the navigated away from the video page. I did not notice any new downloads to the computer. I'm not a computer savvy person so I'm not sure what type of scans I can do. Any suggestions?
