Hi,
Found out other info. Installed yosemite but at times when I go on safari on top bar and about safari it says safari 9.0.3 BUT another time it said yosemite.
What have I done?
My Macbook pro is mid 2012.
I loose top bar if I close safari and I can not shut down my computer at all. It is eternally on.
Any ideas

That is normal.
If you click on the Apple to the far left in the menu bar it will tell you Yosemite.
If Safari is open and the active application, you click on the word "Safari" just to the right of the Apple and it will tell you the version of Safari.
