iPhone is disabled Connect to iTunes - Can't Allow Access - have passcode

I have a clients phone, she dropped it into the bath tub and only half the screen worked so in trying to put her passcode in she locked the phone with the "iphone is disabled" message. I have since then put a new screen on so the whole screen is active again but it just says connect to itunes.

Is there anyway to get the phone back to where I can enter her passcode and save her photos?

I connect to itunes but of course the computer has to have access but without getting into the phone that's not possible.

I really wish there were an option to "un-disable" the disabled screen via signing into itunes or something similar.
