Q: Skipping multiple songs causes Apple Music app to lag/crash

Has anyone else experienced a bug in the AM app, where if you skip several songs (for example, if you're shuffling your library and can't find a song you want to listen to), the app will take several seconds to start the song you eventually settle on, and sometimes will just crash entirely? I don't get an error message or anything; the audio just stops and when I unlock my phone I'm back at my home screen.

Yes, here are checks that I use whenever I encounter that annoyance. I primarily use an HTC One M9, so I'll be describing that.

RAM - I use an app called Greenify, green maple leaf, to manually kill downloaded apps I don't want running in the background, e.g. iHeartRadio.

App manager - kill any apps that Greenify can't touch, e.g. bloatware/pre-loaded stuff.

Hard restart the device. Research based upon your exact device model.

You need at least 2GB of internal free for the device to run properly, especially if it has less than 3GB of RAM.

Clear app caches. I use an app called App Cache Cleaner, has a lil clockwise green-fade arrow, to do this.

If need be, wipe the cache partition-- be EXTREMELY careful in regards to this, as one wrong move could wipe the device.

    Good luck!
