iTunes on my 2008 iMac won't work.

When I try to open iTunes on my 2008 iMac, it opens for 1 second then closes the window and the program. Should I maybe just take it to Apple???

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Your profile suggests you are still running Snow Leopard, which was released over six years ago.

I suggest you upgrade to the current OS X version (El Capitan, OS X 10.11.3). Then you will be able to run the current version of iTunes (12.3.2), which cannot be run on Snow Leopard.
