If you are unable to get the MacBook to get past the chime and an incredible wait, for nothing
you may be able to get it to start in Safe mode, if you hold the Shift key down almost immediate
after hearing the start chime sound, and keep holding it until you see the desktop appear. You
may be able to then sign in your admin user password to further the startup to then show Finder.

There are other startup keyboard combinations to try & see if the computer can find its hard drive
or SSD (main boot drive) with either an OS X installed or the OS X Recovery. This would be part
of the troubleshooting processes one could try. Usually if you have a new model computer you'd
consider arranging a reservation with an Apple Store genius for appointment for someone to check
the computer because it may have issues and they can determine if it needs repair or not.
So there are a few things to try. If the computer hasn't been charged up in awhile, it is never a
good idea to let the battery go so weak as the have the computer fail due to lack of power.

This can cause battery to prematurely fail since it causes damage. If computer is fully charged
and still has issues on startup, it may be the System Management Controller may need reset.
