Q: Safari won't open gmail.com...help!

I have a brand new Macbook pPro (safari 9.0.2) and gmail.com will not open. I have searched this website and tried many things, including clearing all cookies. Help!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
