How do I remove *@me.com alias from my Apple ID?

I am having trouble finding a way to remove my xxxx@me.com email address alias from my Apple Id. I have tried in Manage My Apple ID page and also on the iCloud.com settings page. No luck at either page to change the aliases. I am getting too many spam emails and none of my current contacts use this address. Only those I wish to not reveal my current information.

They aren't aliases though, they are different forms of your original address. If they were aliases you could delete them.

You don't have to use them, just don't use them to send mail and have your rules automatically delete incoming mail.

I don't want to use the aliases for my original Firstname.lastname@me.com or the @mac.com aliases. I want to delete them completely and no longer use them. I used to be able to go in and edit this information, but now it seems I can only add aliases, but not delete old ones.

I'm not sure you can if the xxxx part is your original. Why not create a rule that deletes all mail to that address.
