My backup of my iPhone isn't restoring my playlists, are my playlists gone forever?

My iPhone cover broke and I went to the apple store to get it fixed, when I got there I used the backup function on iTunes to back it up to a laptop. The store then replaced the phone with a new phone. After I did the restore function from the laptop, I can't find my playlists on my phone, are they gone forever?
