My IPhone6 tells me to connect to iTunes but my mac won't recognize it, What do I do?

IPhone 6 while updating software just stops without finishing and tells me to connect to iTunes. The thing is that my mac doesn't recognize it (it does recognize other iPhones) iPhone ^ iOS 9.2, MacBook Air I'OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 User uploaded file

Remove the case an make sure the cable is fully inserted.

Try another cable if you have one.

Try a different USB port if you have one.

Restart the Mac.

Reinstall iTunes over the top directly from itunes.com

There are a few other things listed here: If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

Try DFU Mode: Google it.

Other than that, get it serviced: https://locate.apple.com/country
