Wifi connection issues on sleep/wake

I have a macbook pro retina 13' early 2015 running osx 10.11.3.

My router is a Arris router that Time Warner Cable provided.

Whenever my computer goes to sleep long enough for the password field to show up when waking it back up, it disconnects from my network. But it doesn't show it being disconnected on the top right corner, all my browser and internet capable apps don't work. I have to turn the wifi off and back on again in the top right of the desktop for it to work again. Is there any solution.

Thank you

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
