Issue not resolved
If the issue is still not resolved, please read this information on servicing your iPod.
I did all those things and still no sound. Is there a mute button that I may have pushed somehow? I can see the music streaming across the iPod but no sound. Tried 3 different headsets.
In particular, if this is a brand new iPod nano, make sure the headphones plug is fully inserted into the iPod's headphones jack. The fit is often tighter than expected, especially when new. It should "click" into place.
Okay now I feel like a complete idiot. 🙂 Of course that was the problem! Thank you so much for helping me!
I have same problem but my ear phones will only go in so far no matter how hard i push any suggestions ?
If you see a gap between the side of the iPod and plastic part of the headphones plug, it is probably not pushed in all the way. If it won't go in any further, maybe you have some debris inside the headphones jack that is blocking the plug.
If the plug is inserted completely, try another set of headphones to rule out faulty headphones.
