I found that one of our members here (John Galt) answered a similar question in 2012. He suggested to reset the SMC.
* Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer. Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
I think a reset would be a good start.
What is mts? Months? Minutes? Millennial?
Hello iiiaass,
Get the feeling (don't know why) this post is ex UK. mts is usually often here to mean minutes. But Millennial made me laugh. 😁
Good day 71,
Thank you very much for past 30.0 minutes it didn't shut down after resetting.
Delighted to read that. Just for the record can you confirm rather later that all is well. Are you UK, by the way🙂
