video will not play from sd card SanDisk Extreme pro SDXC card from lumix camera. Not in AVHD or mp4. Actually will play 2 films in AVCHD but no others. Have tried a few settings but is it just the type of SD card? I know some have problems. (At $150 each don't want to experiment too much !) Thanks RORY

What do you mean by 'play'?
Doesn't import? Or, isn't listed on import?
Did you mix formats (mp4 + AVCHD) on one card?
Can you post a screenshot of your card, in Finder, all folders open?
SDXC cards are not the issue.
Did you format the card in the camera used?
Can you tell us the type of camera in use?
And exactly the specs of the clips not "playing"?

The film clips are not listed on the SD card.
Just bought a new camera (Lumiz FZ 1000) and am experimenting.
Photos show ok. Only two out of 20 film clips are visible. What's funny is that other film clips taken at the same time in the same format do not show.
The format is AVCHD. FHD 24p.
Thanks for your help, I'm sure it's just a setup Robles. However hopped can have different formats on the same SD card. At least frame rates.

Where? In Finder? Or in FCPX/Import?
In FCPX, all fz1k formats are shown in the Import dialogue.
In Finder, AVCHD is for sure 'hidden' = all 'clips' are in one solid file named AVCHD.
In Finder, the mp4s are listed as mp4
so, again:
